About Webb Carroll Training Center
Webb Carroll
has a lifetime of experience in the Thoroughbred industry to draw on.
He's the son of W.W. Carroll, Sr., owner and trainer of Charlie Boy.
Webb spent his childhood breaking horses for his father, often taking
time from high school to drive the horses to New England for the racing
season. He and his family spent summers at Rockingham Park, tending to the family's business.
Webb started Webb Carroll Training Center in 1983, operating from the
home base of Mr. Odie Clelland, the Odessa Farm in St. Matthews, SC. With the
passing of Mr. Clelland, Webb purchased the farm, and hasn't looked back.
Webb Carroll Training Center is a family affair. Webb's wife, Sarah, works in the office
and makes road trips to deliver horses with Webb. His children have all worked at the barn
at one time or another.
Webb enjoys working draft horses and mules in his spare time.
